Ocean Hackathon® 2025 - International Grand Finale

Winners from the local editions in Brest and Cadiz competed in this event

Following the local editions in 10 cities worldwide, the winners from each city gathered in Brest (FR) for the Grand Finale. It took place on December 2, 2025.

The winners from Cadiz, supported by SaferSEA, presented their project, called OCEAN E-CLEAN and promoted by Santiago Miranda: a self-contained, circular solution to address oil spills in ports and coastal areas. It uses autonomous catamarans to deploy a bio-absorbent material that transforms oily waste into solid biofuel: pollution becomes clean energy.
